On Sunday 30th of March Rare Spares sponsored the annual ‘Steel Bumper Sunday’ event, which was held at the Manhattan Hotel in Ringwood.
The not-for-profit event which called on all cars from the era of steel bumpers, raised just over $5,000 for the Bayswater CFA!
Steel Bumper Sunday was born of the idea of hosting a unique car show for a niche group of enthusiasts who share a passion for vehicles originally manufactured with steel bumpers.
Organising a diverse display of classic, historic and modified vehicles, all originally fitted with steel bumpers, the goal is to showcase cars from a variety of vehicle manufacturers and countries.
More than doubling last year’s revenue, 427 cars donated at the gate on entry, over 400 raffle tickets were sold and the CFA sold 700 sausages.
Rare Spares are proud to sponsor the annual event and were honoured to present the Real Street and Real Restoration trophies to winning recipients.
It was fantastic to see such a great turn out this year, with event managers having to find extra space for cars!
