Rare Spares Ambassador John Bowe Remains In The Lead After Round 4 Of The Touring Car Masters Championship

Rare Spares is a proud sponsor of the Touring Car Masters Championship. Round 4 of the Championship took place at Queensland Raceway, Ipswich last weekend (July 27-28).

Rare Spares ambassador John Bowe remains in the lead after this round, achieving two victories over the weekend in his Ford Mustang Sally.

In Saturday’s practice sessions, Bowe completed the fastest lap of 1:18:4306s around Ipswich’s 3.12km circuit.

Topping both of the practice sessions, Bowe went on to win the first of the three races which took place over the weekend.

On Sunday’s first race, rival Jim Richards took the lead, with Bowe coming in second above Andrew Miedecke. In race two, Bowe charged back into the lead, securing his position in the lead of the championship.

“It was a real tribute to the boys in my little team John Bowe Racing to win the opening race on Saturday - they delivered a race car that could not have been any better despite 6700 rpm and 1680kg,” said Bowe.

Four more rounds remain of the season, with round 5 set to take place at Sydney Motorsport Park from August 30th – September 1st.

Rare Spares congratulate Bowe in his efforts over the weekend. Stay tuned for updates on the remaining championship rounds.
